Context:
Managing “change” is often the most difficult part of implementing any project. From the point of just an idea for change, through the workflow analysis, solution design, training and testing, to the actual change itself, individuals often have a hard time accepting change. It is key to understand why change is so difficult so that you can address resistance due to change appropriately with others and yourself to help make new projects successful.
Instructions:
- Conduct a literature search on one or more theories related to change management.
- Develop a 3-5 page, double-spaced, essay summarizing what you learned from the literature, critically analyzing its value and applicability in the area of workflow analysis and process redesign, and offering your own perspective on change management theory and how it applies in your experience.
- List at least 5 sources in a bibliography; 3 of the 5 sources must be specific to change management in the healthcare setting.
