My course is Ethics of Healthcare – Master of Health Administration.
There are two parts of this assignment. FIRST, students will demonstrate their ability to apply ethics to their future career in a health care setting by creating a one-page manifesto-like statement which is suitable for framing. The document should be no larger than 8 1/2 by 11 inches. The title of the statement should be “Professional Ethics Statement for (the student’s name).” The statement should begin with “As an ethics-based health care professional, I will strive to meet or exceed the statements made below in the daily practice of my profession.” Creativity is encouraged, so the student should be free to express them visually as well as in writing. The SECOND part of this assignment is that students should submit the essay that supports the professional ethics statement. The supporting essay should be 1000 words minimum in length and should explain its philosophical and/or theological rationale.
